There is no honest single price for aerial photography, because a quick set of listing photos and a year of monthly construction flights are different jobs. What I can tell you is exactly what moves the price, so you know what to send me and what you will get back.
What sets the price
1. What you need delivered
Edited still photos are the simplest deliverable. An edited video takes longer to film and to cut, orthomosaic maps and 3D models add processing, and a 360 panorama needs its own capture. Many jobs combine two or three of these, and the quote lists each one.
2. The size and shape of the site
A single home, a shopping center and a 150-acre farm take very different flight time. Large or spread-out sites, several buildings or several locations in one visit all change how long I am in the air and how many views you receive.
3. How often I fly
A one-time shoot is priced as a single visit. Construction progress is usually a schedule, weekly, monthly or at milestones, flown from the same angles each time so the change is easy to compare, and it is quoted as one price for the whole job.
4. Where the site is
I am based in Louisville and fly across Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Sites farther out, such as Evansville, Owensboro or Lexington, take more travel time than a job across town.
5. Airspace and access
Most sites can be flown under the standard FAA rules. Sites near airports need an FAA authorization (LAANC) first, and a few locations cannot be flown by drone at all; there, helicopter photography may be an option, subject to its own airspace requirements. I check the airspace before I quote, so there are no surprises.
6. Timing and light
Sunrise, sunset and twilight shoots, or a flight that has to match a construction milestone or an event, are planned around a narrow window and sometimes around the weather.
What is always included
- An FAA Part 107 licensed, fully insured pilot
- Airspace checks, and the FAA authorizations the site requires
- Color correction and editing on every photo, and straightened horizons
- Delivery by cloud link: edited photos typically within 24 to 48 hours, edited video within 48 to 72 hours

Are recurring construction flights quoted differently?
